STUDENT WELLNESS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Each year a student Wellness Executive Committee is selected by students to advance new wellness initiatives and programming. They are allotted a budget to allocate to new wellness ideas, presentations, or trainings. This committee helps to provide well attended programming that student find helpful and relevant. This group also help to oversee each of the 10 wellness groups and act as leaders to 30 Big Sibs.

PHYSICIAN MENTORS

There is one physician assigned to each of the ten wellness groups. All students are assigned to a wellness group and stay in the same group all four years. These selected physicians, from a variety of different specialty areas, generously volunteer their time to mentor and participate in activities with their group of students.

BIG SIBS

Each of the 10 Wellness groups have three Big Sibs/student leaders. Big Sibs are second-year students who play an integral role in welcoming incoming classes and supporting little sibs (first-year students) through the daily challenges of being a medical student. Big Sibs also act as a liaison between their group and the physician mentor to plan and host activities related to the concepts of wellness stated above
